Over the past year, we’ve expanded our footprint to some of the fastest-growing technology hubs in the world — like Toronto, Mumbai, and officially launching today, Sydney.

This newest outpost brings the industry’s best price-to-performance cloud closer to home for our thousands of customers in Australia. Like our 10 similar data centers located strategically around the globe, Linode Sydney offers a better, more geographically-tuned alternative to complicated and costly hyperscale cloud providers.

From the beginning, Australia has represented one of our largest customer communities and a heavily-requested location for expansion. Sydney is one of the largest innovation centers in the world and home to nearly half of all Australian startups. Public cloud adoption in Sydney is growing at a higher rate than anywhere else in the world.

Launching Linode Sydney is our commitment to giving our customers the price, service, and performance they deserve.

Linode Sydney is another way to support our customers in deploying applications in the cloud, with core Linode products available now. We plan to release Block Storage, GPUs, Object Storage, and Linode Kubernetes Engine to the Australian market in 2020.
